In the Land of Dandelion Time

The Land of Dandelion time, a companion book to When Cows Wore Shoes serves not only as an archival record of an agricultural cycle of one village in Northern Spain under Franco’s rule but as a reminder of a way of life long forgotten with its threshing sledges, golden harvests when people had no use for machines or money.

Taken with a Kodak Brownie Box camera in the late sixties/early seventies, these photographs and their accompanying poems remind one of a time when life revolved with the sun.
